Girls Volleyball Ranked 10th in the Nation

The Butler County Community College Pioneer girl's volleyball team ranks tenth among the nation's NJCAA Division III schools.

The Pioneer girls achieved the ranking after competing in the NJCAA Division III National Championship Tournament in Rochester, Minnesota. over the weekend. The Pioneer girls entered the National Championship Tournament as the seventh seed, after last month's victory in the Region XX/District G Championship Tournament.

BC3 was defeated in the first round by second-seeded Ridgewater College out of Minnesota, on Friday morning. Hours later the Pioneer girls defeated New York's Nassau Community College, 25-16, 25-22, 17-25, and 25-17.

On Saturday, the Niagara County Community College team eliminated the BC3 girls, 19-25, 25-14, 25-11, and 25-22.

First seed, Brookhaven College from Texas, won the National Title. Brookhaven defeated Wisconsin's Madison Area Technical College on Saturday afternoon, 22-25, 25-20, 25-18, and 25-19.
